The piece emerges from an ongoing investigation into rock formations. We give voice to stone through soundscapes that narrate the stages of a stone's formation. The sound installation consists of five basalt blocks. Conductive tape runs across the surfaces of the rocks, creating an interactive circuit between the artwork and the audience. By touching the stones, visitors activate sonic fragments; each rock holds a unique sound, its own distinct landscape.
